Cambourne Network
Cambourne Network is a new local business breakfast meeting for Cambourne, Cambridge and the surrounding area started in January 2009.
The aim was to provide a monthly networking opportunity for local businesses – many of whom operate from home offices – to meet up and present their businesses to other companies in Cambourne.
Under the title of The Cambourne Network the meeting is hosted and sponsored by Cambourne business - Cambridge Graphics Ltd and The Cambridge Belfry Hotel.
The meetings have been a huge success with an average of 35 businesses present. Meetings are held on the last Friday of the month where a modest ‘pay as you go fee’ of £10 is payable on the door to cover breakfast and room hire.
Breakfast is provided with a 7.15 for 7.30am start and finishes at 8.30am at The Cambridge Belfry Hotel in Cambourne.
Take plenty of business cards and marketing materials. No membership fees, no rules and no pressure – just a voluntary ‘pay as you go’ monthly networking meeting with a structure based on the positive points of other networking groups.
This networking format is highly affordable for businesses starting out and most importantly it is extremely effective for generating actual business and often on the day.
