Having been self-employed for around 12 years and single for the past 3 of those, I’ve been to many, many, MANY networking groups and met lots of people and occasionally met people I thought I might connect with if only I knew whether they were single or not like me, but most networking groups just aren’t the kind of atmosphere that you would even contemplate asking whether someone was single, for fear of embarrassing yourself.
